Innovation Lab: Systems Biology for the Cancer Microbiome

Heather has been selected to participate in the Innovation Lab: Systems Biology for the Cancer Microbiome, jointly organized by the National Cancer Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  This week long event will take take place in New York, April 29th-May 3rd, 2019. The workshop’s goal is to “identify opportunities to accelerate research on the influence of the microbiome in cancer.”  She is excited to learn, explore and develop new relationships to investigate how her expertise in cancer biology and the innate immune system can integrate with the microbiome interface.
